I am putting on a military history day at my legion on September 18 to kick off legion week. I know it is along way for most of you to come but if you are interested I would greatly apprieciate it. I will have more details as the date gets closer. I am going to try and get as many people in uniform as I can get and possibly some vehicles. Please let me know if anybody is interested. It will be at the Brechin legion off of Hwy 12.

Thank you
Carl

Hey Carl, could you give us more info for this event.

Will this be indoors or out?
Would you like us to put up a display or just walk around looking good?
Is this just for the Canadian troops or did you also want US and German?

It will be inside and outside. I am going to get some tents incase of rain. If you guys could put on a display as well as look good (as you always do) that would be great. All uniforms are welcome as well as all eras. We will probably have access to a farmers field (depending on insurance cost) so you could set up a camp. Nothing like this has been done in this area so I am hoping it will be a good turn out. As far as time I still have to work that out with the legion.

Then this would be a Level 1 event which would mean that you need to be %95 correct with Uniform, gear and weapons.

Carl, I will add this to our schedule.

I'm in.

Its a Saturday, so I could probably make it. It is a ways down the road, so I can't fully forsee my availability at that time, but if I can, I'll be there. I hope to have a 95% impression done by August so that I can attend the Southern Ontario Military Muster. So I should definetly have it by September.

Alec

Thank you, I will try and make it as big as I can. We might be able to camp over Friday so you won't have to get up so early on Saturday. If we can't stay there I have a big back yard and basement for those who would rather come up the night before.

The event will run from 10am till 4pm. I have permission to stay over at the Legion for anyone wishing to come up on the Friday. Breakfast will be provided for those who stay over and lunch will be provided to all participants ( no charge). I hopefully have a the following vehicles lined up WW2 jeep done up to the Lincoln and Wellend, 42 Harley, U.S. Marine Hummer, Navajo Helicopter, LAV, Leapard tank and hoping for more. I have a 20x20 WW2 net that I want to set up as an allied command post(provided I have some Allies). I am a one man organizer but I am trying to make this as good as possible for the participants as well as the public. We are not charging the public for entry to try and get as many people possible. This event will cover all eras of military history as well as all countries. If you have any questions, suggestions, requests etc please let me know and I will do my best to answer, put in motion or fullfill them. Hope to see as many of you as possible.
Thank you
Carl

I should be able to make this as well, but I will need to talk to the "Domestic Overlord".

Thank you very much guys. I was wondering if anybody would be interested in carrying my Bren and Lee enfield around ( brens de-wat enfields not)? I will dig a fox hole for the 30cal if you want to bring it Lee. If anyone is doing German, is there anything I can do for you? If anybody is coming up Friday can you let me know so I can arrange breakfast. If anyone needs to borrow some kit to complete there outfit I can arrange that to. Just let me know your wants and needs.
Thanks again
Carl
