Scenario:

Battle of the Bulge - Hold the Line

On December 16, 1944 the German Army launched their Ardennes Offensive with 13 Divisions. Their objective was to capture the Ardennes forest region in Belgium and France and paralyze the Allied armies in the west so they would concentrate on defeating the Russians in the east.

The initial attacks by the Germans were very successful and the Allied front began to collapse. Units were being overrun all along the lines and the Germans penetrated deep into Allied territory. On December 17, the 101st Airborne received orders to move north to reinforce the key town of Bastogne.

The division travelled in trucks and trailers 107 miles to Bastogne. When the division arrived, the Germans were already on the outskirts of the city.

The fighting around Bastogne is intense. The Germans want it as badly as the Allies want to keep it. By December 20, Bastogne is completely surrounded and the 101st, along with elements of the 10th Armored Division are cut off from the rest of the Allied Armies.

They are ordered to hold the line!

Allies

The Allies must hold their position and stop the Germans from taking Bastogne.

Axis

The Germans need to crush the Allies and move them out of the forest to take Bastogne. War is some times no more then just taking real estate. If the Germans have more at the end of the day then they win.

As always please be prepared to bring what you will need into the field. Water, food, BBs, gas.. etc.

Also be warned that there are no bathroom facilities at this field so come prepared.

This is a great field and this will most likely be our last game of the year (depending on how bad the weather gets) so do your best to get out to this one.

Also, you can sign up here but if you have a Airsoft Canada I'm going to ask that you sign up there as well so we can keep the thread up front. Thanks.

OKay... where are all the Germans from our group? We haven't had one even sign up for this game. Crash has an excuse but what about the rest of you guys?

The Allies already out number you 2 to 1 and the guys that have signed up on the Axis side are not even OAWWIIR members. How do you expect to recruit these guys if you don't come out in your pretty uniforms and die a glorious death for the Fatherland. Razz

But seriously... sign up!

Yeah jeez guys, I'm looking to get ideas for a German WWII kit.

I'm really hoping I can make this one and see a nice variety.

Lets show them Allie dogs the true power of Germany!

Would it be impolite if we told him, that we come to the Western Front for vacation, and to visit some shitty mud-bath in Bastogne once in every 4 years?

Very Happy
