Scenario:

Breakout from the Bocage

The Allied offense is bogged down in the rough terrain of the Bocage. The mud on the ground, mixed with the blood and sweat of relentless men fighting in the name of liberty, is making the advancement in the French farmlands a treacherous task.

The German defenders have established a strong hold in this land, using hedgerows for cover and reinforcing them to thwart the enemy advancement. In their design for New World Order, German forces are giving up ground slowly while inflicting heavy casualties.

Will the Allies overrun the Axis powers, or will the German defense be adequate to hold their ground?

Allies

The Allies must breakout and push inland or they risk being pushed back into the English Channel. War is some times no more then just taking real estate. If the Allies have move at the end of the day they win.

Axis

The Germans need to stop the Allies from continuing to move inland. The main objective is to push the Allies back to the beaches. If they can do this then the Allied invasion will be defeated.

Please note that there will not be any scheduled breaks so be prepared to bring everything that you need into the field. This includes... water, food, ammo anything that you need to get through the day.

Do me a favour and sign up on ASC so we can keep that thread up front. I realize that this is short notice compared to the usual postings for games but it's taken me some time to get a field... but I'm hoping that we can have a good turn out from our members.

If anyone has extra goggles to spare please bring them, in case the rentals run out by the time I get there, as my +2 don't have any.

Hard to say. Personally, I prefer WW2 games when the weather is a bit chillier, might have something to do with all the reading I do on the snowy Eastern Front.

Anyway, I have to downgrade myself to 'tentative'.....I failed to notify my personal affairs manager before confirming. I'll know later tomorrow what's up. Sorry.
