I just wanted to Thank Mark, Rob, Glynn and Ian for coming out and helping out with our booth. Again we had a great display and alot of interest in our group.

It was a long day and you guys were great!

I've never seen you guys move so fast when the guys came around with the video camera... you would have thought mortars were being dropped on us! Laughing

Here are Sam's pics of the event:

Thanks Sam

Hey guys,
I just wanted to say how awsome your exibit was. I was looking forward to this event for a long time, and was not let down. It was awsome, but my highlight was forsure the WWII booth you guys had!
Lee, i LOVE that 1919. and your Garand... makes me envious. I hate to say it but i dont recall your names to your faces. I feel bad, but i was in such a whirlwind of excitement that i coudnt even retain your names. It was the innitial shock and awe of what i saw that caused my brain to go into overload! Dont worry though, ALL my questions did sink in, lol. And i REALY want to thank you guys for answering all of them to my hearts conntent!
Iv never seen soo much WWII paraphenielia in front of me. It was just such a rewarding feeling to feed my love of history and WWII. And to know that there are some guys out there like me is awsome.
I loved All of your impressions, and want to know who entered into the contest there? and who ended up winning? I was wondering which one won?
I caint say enough on how much i enjoyed it.

The following people entered for best historical loadout:
Myself (I was at the vietnam table)
Ian (The only Canadian WW2 Reenactor Wink)
Jay (Also Vietnam)
Sean (Vietnam)

There was a tie between Sean and Jay, Sean ended up winning cause he had a green towel as part of his kit I believe.

Yes, being one of the judges it was a difficult choice and Sean having the well know twel and Jay not having one was the tie breaker. I would have liked to see more WWII guys enter the contest but then we have won every year so I guess it was nice to see others win.

My new goal in life is to dual wield two M60s at the same time.

And remain in a standing position? Or would crumpled on the floor be acceptable?

Not saying you guys did a bad job judging...But. Had I been a judge. I would have yelled and possibly thrown small animals at Sean. An otter or maybe a duck.....whatever.

Jay didn't have a towel, yes. Everyone should know where thier towel is. Jay's pants weren't period, fine. You can't tell by looking.

But Sean! After me bugging him for years now. IS STILL CARRYING THAT DAMNED FLASHLIGHT! It's totally incorrect. Even a cursory glance at it and you say: "Hey nice kit...shame about the modern flashlight.".

In my mind. Jay won the contest and I shall keep on pestering Sean until he gets a period flashlight.

That's my rant for the day.

No ducks or otters were harmed during this rant.

P.S. Mr Evo. What size are your feet?......no I'm not hitting on you. I'm actually curious.

Totally missed that... you should have been there Ken, it would have been fun watching you throw animals at Sean.

BTW... thanks for the laugh... needed it! Wink

This isnt creepy at all. Cool

My shoe is a 10, my jump boots are a 9, so Jeroon brought me size 8.5 and 9 to try on for jungle boots and none of them fit. Must have mutant feet or something.

News Update: I uploaded the pictures I took onto facebook where they sat untouched for the past 2-3 months, then some wanker came along and reported them for being 'offensive'. Goddamn Ass@#$%&. Its not offensive in the least, its a MOCK gun laying on a table. I even have this huge disclaimer on the photo page saying they are faker than professional wrestling (which ironically I referee)
