WW2 Weekend Training Event - Date and Location Confirmed


All Training that occurs will be based on Period Appropriate National Tactics and Doctrine.
All FTX will have a specific training objective in mind. The expectations for both the Allied and Axis will be clearly defined and laid out.


When: 20JUL12 and 22JUL12
Time: 1700 20JUL12 to 1800 21JUL12
Where: The Stayner Field
Field Location: 2258 Centre Line Road, Stayner, Ontario
The field entrance is at Latitude N44 21 min 56.5 sec and Longitude W 80 3min 11.4 sec.

Field Description: The field is 50 acres of hard wood bush with some pines and scrub brush mixed in. There is a road network from when it was selectively logged. There are a couple of small ponds on the property and a large beaver pond at the back end. The terrain is rolling hills with a small valley in the centre of the property. There are no structures, but there are are two 24 foot trailers and some lean toos. There is a 20 foot trench dug at the south end and it sits on a small knowl.

How much : 35.00 for the Weekend, Training and Game
25.00 for the Training Only
10.00 for the Game Only - A Level 2 Game
Meals: Bring your own. Please prepare for 7 meals, snacks and water.
There will be a BBQ on site for your prepare meals if needed.

Schedule
Friday
1700 Unit members arrive and set up camp
2000 to 2130 Safety Briefing, complete any camp admin
2130 to 2300 Night Patrolling / Tactics Training
2300 to 2330 Rest Period
0000 to 0400 Night Patrolling / Attack Exercise
0400 to 0800 Rest Period

Saturday
0800 to 0945 Breakfast / Morning Routine
0945 to 1030 Period 1
1030 to 1115 Period 2
1115 to 1200 Period 3
1200 to 1300 Lunch
1300 to 1345 Period 4
1345 to 1900 FTX
1900 to 2000 Dinner
2000 to 0230 FTX
0230 to 0700 Rest Period

Sunday
0700 to 0900 Breakfast / Morning Routine, Basic Packing and Tear Down
0900 to 0945 Reception of Players for game - for pers that did not sleep over
0945 to 1000 Safety Briefing
1000 to 1700 Game - Scenario based Milsim.
1730 Game Ends, final tear down and clean up.

WHAT YOU DO NEED TO ATTEND
You will need an AEG or Bolt Action.
You will need a lawn chair
You will need appropriate and approved eye protection
You will need sunscreen, and/or mozzie rep
You will need a sleeping bag, and shelter
You will need paper, pens, ruler, compass, binos, or spotting scope
You will need food and water for an overnight stay. Please consider 6 to 7 meals and snacks
You will need to bring clothing and footwear that are appropriate for time of year and terrain.
You will need to bring your World War 2 gear and impression if you have one, along with accessories you have.
You will be required to bring all of the necessary stores and equipment to be self sustaining for the weekend.

WHAT YOU DO NOT NEED TO ATTEND
YOU DO NOT NEED AN IMPRESSION TO ATTEND
YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A WW2 REENACTOR OR BE MEMBER OF A UNIT TO ATTEND

THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL MEMBERS. YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE A FULL SET OF KIT TO ATTEND.

THIS EVENT IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT.

This is an Historically based Military Simulation. Positions of Rank or Leadership during this event are assigned to persons attending the event in period appropriate uniforms. It is expected and intended that all persons act accordingly with this structure. Those that are unable to interact with other participants within the assigned Chain of Command and Leadership Structure, will be asked to remove themselves from the event.

YOU are responsible for having read and agreed to mentioned Player Code of Conduct and Safety Rules contained in this thread as well as the OAWW2 MILSIM Ruleset http://www.ontarioairsoftwwiireenactors.com/rules.html.

These items must be followed unless otherwise stated by the rules of the scenario or by the game Host or Field Staff. Furthermore, both Host and Staff in concert or individually reserve and retain the right to suspend and remove you from the field in the event you actions violate said agreements. Removal from the game for the day will be without refund. Suspension from play will be for a resonable period of time, that will include a remedial safety briefing and a discussion of the reasons for the suspension from play.

Please be aware that by attending this event, you also understand that your picture, image or likeness may be captured in Still or Video Photography. And that this image or video may be used for marketting and/or advertising purposes without any compensation.

Safety Rules:

INDIVIDUAL FIRST AID KIT
As this is a weekend long event. It would be expected that every player that attends has a personal Ouch Pouch. Please ensure it will meet your possible first aid needs. This kit should include a safety whistle - a Fox 40 or similar.

PERSONAL SAFETY EQUIPMENT
- Full Seal Paintball / Airsoft Goggles
- Full Seal Mesh Goggles
- Shop or Safety glasses are not allowed
- NO BIO BBs - as some players may be using mesh goggles.

SMOKE GRENADES
1) Must be commercially prepared - NO improvised and/or expedient devices.
2) Must be intended and designed as cold burning. If there is any question you will be required to provide a test device (which you will not be compensated for).
3) All spoil/debris or other refuse that is the result of the smoke pot must be cleaned up by shortly after end game. - IF YOU USE IT, YOU WILL CLEAN UP AFTER IT.
4) You many not use, ignite, or launch one into any structure, nor within 20 feet of a structure.
5) You many not use, ignite, or launch one into any enclosed space, nor within 20 feet of a enclosed space.
6) After the smoke device has begun to emit smoke, it may not be handled, manipulated nor picked up at any time.
7) The use of common sense must be engaged when deploying a smoke device.


As Host I reserve the right to request those that are known to either compromising the safety or continued enjoyment of the other players, to not attend this event. Those persons who may be currently under a Temporary Participation Exclusion, if they do register for this event will be PM'd and politely asked to not attend. If they do attend they will not be allowed to enter the field of play.

Any and All AEG, GBB or BA that will be on the field will be chronographed. Any AEG, GBB or BA that exceeds the field maximum muzzle velocity measured in Feet Per Second +/- Chronograph tolerances will not be allowed in play. Velocity Reducing Devices may be allowed at the descretion and decision of the Event Host and Field Operator.

Instructors Needed.

Each group respectively will be responsible for its own periods of instruction..

Each of the Respective FTX's should be built around the appropriate Periods of Instruction.

Could those wishing to Instruct a period of instruction, PM me with your interest.

haha, awkward sentence is awkward! So, if I understand this right, if the 'field maximum mv' is 400fps and my gun is 399 fps, it won't pass muster?

Perhaps, changing 'does not meet' to 'exceeds' will clarifiy, haha. No, I'm not a grammar na.......!

SHRIKE AIRSOFT will be on site. Dave will be out for the Training. So if there is anything you need, wants or desire - in the airsoft realm. Please contact him.

I am sure he will be more than happy to assist you.

CRB Militaria and Collectables will be on site with his antiques and historical wares. If there is anything specific you are looking for, please contact him.

I am sure Carl will be able to help with your historical needs.
