Well.... I want to thank Mike and Mick and everyone at the Museum for a great time. They worked hard to make sure that we had everything that we needed.

Thanks to everyone that came out... you all looked great and did a great job. Some stayed dry and others were not so lucky but no one gave up and went home and that speaks a great deal to the great group that we have.

Thanks to Derek for putting on the 101st and joining us in the battle. I have pictures of it Derek so it happened! The wife also PVR'ed theNam boys on the A Channel news... you guys looked sharp!

Thanks to Michael for picking up the 10 men tent... we will get it waterproofed! Thanks to Lorraine for taking video of the event.

Thanks to Rob for for bringing the Jeep... it looked great! And John wanted to say thanks for taking the 10 man tent and the camo net because he would of had to been left behinf if I had to take it.

Thanks to everyone who helped setting up camp and then striking it!

There's more and I will chime in at a later time.

And to anyone that read my original post... The video Camera was found in my footlocker.... Back up being done tonight or I don't get to sleep in my bed!

I have pictures AND video... I will post as soon as I can. Everyone do the same.

What a great weekend!! Thanks to all who put this event together and to all who came out. I had a blast as I know everyone else did. Rain came down hard on Sat night, and the pits that were dug were full of water in the morning. The crowd got into the spirit of things as we chased the Germans around the compound in the Jeep at about 2 mph. LOL. insert Benny Hill music here. I will post pictures in a couple of days.

No I hadn't seen it... thanks for posting it. Talk about nice shots... you in the clover... really nice... too bad you weren't holding a Garand. Also the one back at camp is really nice too.

It's funny how the caption under our picture says "a Canadian soldier takes cover in the tall grass" and the article talks about Canadian soldiers but the reporter did not publish one shot of a Canadian soldier.

DAMN YOU LEE...for signing us up for such a great event.

Some highlights:

Being apart of the mortar team was great, especially since I didn't have to die in the wet field.

One man telling me about his father who survived Stalingrad and captivity. While removing a stump with a hatchet he planted it in his shin, and instead of going to the hospital, he just duct taped it and continued...at 92 years old.

Joining the VS guys in the bunker. I was worried about being up until 4am with everyone and being wrecked for the next day since you guys are so much fun...I should have just stayed as I didn't sleep anyways due to a leaking tent. I guess that won't be a problem in the future.

Having the 9-pounder scare the crap out of me.

None of my photos are very good so I won't bother, but I do look forward to seeing the battle videos. They should make nice videos for the convention and such.

That's if we go to the convention... I'm thinking of opting out for the next one... but that's another conversation.
